Project: Virtual training room DSV

This of origin Danish company opened a new head office at Greenport Venlo in 2023. As specialist in custom AV solutions, ShowTheme has once again turned the customer's wishes into a solid, high-quality installation that is easy to operate.

The initial need for a virtual classroom arose during the corona crisis in which it was no longer possible for the trainers to provide training at the locations worldwide. The temporary makeshift solution in which the trainers used video conference software in combination with the built-in camera of their laptop soon turned out to be insufficient, after which ShowTheme installed the first virtual training room for DSV.

The development of such an installation starts with the choice of the right renowned brands such as Extron, Sony and LG. Followed by the punctual installation of all equipment and cabling. Finally, the last phase is programming and instructing the users, all based around the applied touchscreen that makes the operating this complex installation easy.

Thereafter DSV contracted us to build a second training room for their new head office based on the room that ShowTheme created two years earlier, but supplemented with specific wishes. This has resulted in a virtual classroom where the user can be even more interactive with the students and therefore approach to the “physical” classroom even more.

This project includes a 75-inch touchscreen, streaming equipment from Extron, wireless clip-on microphones, studio lighting and a 55-inch feedback monitor. Because the touchscreen is electrically height-adjustable and the image from the system camera follows the height setting, the installation can be used for trainers of different lengths and the user experience is optimal.

Where trainers used to teach at locations worldwide, now these rooms are now often used instead, which is a great advantage from an economic and ecological perspective. We wish DSV a lot of elation with these environments, where people are central.
