Project: Natuurmonumenten Fortress Kijkuit

In the past year Fortress Kijkuit has been restored in a careful and contemporary manor making it suitable for use as an office and visitor center regarding the Dutch waterline and Natural Monuments in the Vechtplassen, mooring for small boats is also realized.

The visitor center is part of the fortress and consists of 5 different rooms. ShowTheme provided the energy-efficient LED lighting for all information panels, the background music in the ammunition boxes and an interactive piece of furniture where the visitor can start video clips with information about the surrounding nature using a touch screen. A custom-made black light fixture with motion sensor unveiled a mural for the adventurers. Finally a simple showcontrol system takes care of automatic activation and deactivation of the entire system based on fixed opening hours.
